Church Staff

Pastor Doug spent his young adult life on Oahu where his father pastored Mililani Baptist Church and his mother served as a principal of the Hawaii Baptist Academy Wainanae Campus. He met his wife Grace through the Singles Ministry at Mililani Baptist Church. They have four children; Catie, Curtis, Doug E and David. Pastor Doug worked as a Honolulu Police Officer and other law enforcement agencies for more than 20 years prior to surrendering to full time ministry. Pastor Doug previously served as a Worship Leader at the First Baptist Church of Grayville, Illinois and Associate Pastor of Youth and Media at the First Baptist Church of Dunnellon Florida. Pastor Doug has played with several different Praise and Worship bands over the years. Most recently with the “Five Smooth Stones” in Florida. Pastor Doug has been a student of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is continuing his education through Wayland Baptist University Hawaii Campus. His hobbies include: Playing guitar, SCUBA diving, hiking, and reading books.

Church Administrator/Worship Leader

         

Lanny Green and his late wife Betty moved to the Big Island in 1994. He is retired U.S. Air Force and also enjoyed a career in Insurance, Real estate and business management in California and here in Hawaii. He was ordained a Deacon in 1981 and has served as Music Minister at two mainland churches and one in Kona. His daughters Angela and Sheryl live in Florida and Arizona. He has three grandchildren in California. When not busy with church matters, he enjoys photography, puttering around in his shop and playing with Dusty Dog and Shadow Cat.
